Steps, tips, best practices on how to set up a new sequence.
Creating a New Sequence
A sequence is a workflow set up to automatically send valuable content to a lead without having to add a task to your to do list. Although there are sequences already set up in AAHA's HubSpot sales, you may want to add a new one after you attend an event or do a presentation, for example.
Step 1: Creating a sequence
From the summary tab on your sales dashboard, click Manage Sequences and then in the top right, select "Create a Sequence." 
You will need to choose between creating a dynamic sequence, using a pre-made sequence or making your own.

HubSpot recommends using dynamic sequences to:
- Improve efficiency by automating your outreach so you spend less time on cold leads and more time on engaged leads.
- Never miss engaged leads with signal-based follow-ups and you choose the best next steps.
- Book more meetings with targeted, personalized outreach across multiple channels
Setting up a pre-made sequence
If you have a specific goal in mind, you can start with a pre-made sequence. The pre-made sequences can be tailored for your specific needs but provide a shortcut to getting started.

Setting up your own sequence
Another option is to set up your own sequence. Choose the task you want to automate and follow the prompts.

Best Practice: HubSpot recommends you use 5 or fewer steps in your sequence.
Step 2: Setting up emails for a sequence
After you select the type of sequence you need, click the create sequence button in the top right. It will bring you to a page where you can configure your initial step. From here you will select an existing template or create a new one.

If you select an existing template, you will be able to view the email you will be sending and then follow the prompts to add to the sequence.

If you have selected dynamic sequence, when a prospect engages, rep-led outreach tasks will be assigned to you. You can select which type of follow up you would like to engage in. If the prospect does not engage, you can choose to send them follow up emails.

If you select "create template" you will open an email editors. You can choose to add your email to the sales template folder and share with everyone or make it private. You can also share it with specific people from the main template screen.
