When an individual has left a practice or organization, that individual needs to be unlinked. Follow the process below for this procedure.
In the org record, check to see if the person you are removing is the “primary contact.” If they are, go to the Relations tab, click on the pencil next to their name and uncheck the “org primary contact?” box. Click Save.
- On the individual’s record, go to the Relations tab. Click on the pencil next to the organization that you want to remove the individual from. If the individual is linked to more than 1 practice and is leaving both practices, you will need to unlink from both.
- Uncheck the primary? Box. Uncheck the “owner?” and “access to administer hospital information?” boxes if checked.
- In the end date field, enter today’s date. Click Save.
Once you click Save, the individual’s business address and business phone number[s] will be removed. If their email looks like it’s a business email [ex. has the name of the practice in the address], hide/disable it by going to Contact Info tab and click on the arrow next to the email address you want to delete.
