There are many ways contacts are created in HubSpot. Information on how contacts are handled by origin type as follows:
Customer Engagement
A potential sales contact may contact the customer engagement team via telephone or email. If customer service identifies a potential sales lead, they will create a ticket and assign to the Advertising and Sponsorship Specialist, who will then assign the contact to a Sales Manager.
Website
There are two forms on the website that a potential sales contact can complete. One is a contact us form on the advertising and sponsorship page and the other is a media kit download.
When the form is submitted, the contact is immediately assigned to a sales manager. The assignments alternate evenly between sales managers. If you're automatically assigned a contact that should belong to another team member, please reassign it.
The Database
Contacts and companies are automatically added from the database (NetForum) and from HubSpot. In this case, contacts and companies are not automatically assigned.
Sales Manager
A sales manager may enter a contact from a trade show or other source. If you're entering a contact in HubSpot, please follow these instructions.
