This article will touch on specifics about this year's nomination process, standards and where to direct questions.
Who can be nominated?
Any Practice Consultants or non-PC Staff and board of directors can nominate a practice of their choosing. (Practices are not able to nominate themselves)- Each PC can nominate up to 3 practices and all PC's will be required to participate in the nomination process.

- Must be AAHA accredited
- Have had an evaluation between April 1st 2023 and March 29th 2024
- Practices must have scored a minimum of 90% in their last evaluation to be eligible.
- Only re-accreditations from the previous 12 months will be eligible

Note: There is no longer a fee charged for the application/nomination process.
What happens after the nomination?
- All nominees will be required to go through a brief acceptance process after being nominated. The questions will be aligned with AAHA's mission and adapted from the current application topics and questions.
- Volunteers will be asked to sit on the internal APOY committee.
What do I do if I get question regarding the APOY from members?
- Phone questions - Transfer to Aimee Potter
- Email questions - Forward to Aimee Potter and email the member back using the following SNIPPIET - APOY Response
- "Thank you for contacting AAHA regarding this years Accredited Practice of the Year Award. We have forwarded your question to the accreditation team, and they will respond shortly. Thank you for being a part of the AAHA family."
- Close ticket once email is forwarded to Aimee and Code the Resolution as APOY 24.
